AROUND THE CLOCK CARE

24/7 emergency calls or texts to your team of midwives

Any concerns that arise throughout your pregnancy will not be ignored. We are here for you and on-call 24/7 to ensure your safety and well-being and can let you know if you’re experiencing something that needs higher care, how to deal with it, or assure you of normalcy.

Prenatal Care

Prenatal in-office visits and checkups

Usually, there is no need to see an OBGYN. Our low-risk mothers get their wellness visits starting at 10-12 weeks gestation. We will see you monthly until you’re 32 weeks pregnant, then bi-weekly until your home visit around 36/37 weeks. After that weekly until delivery. Our prenatal visits include bloodwork, urine test strips, blood pressure monitoring, listening to fetal heart tones, measuring uterine growth, and palpation of your belly to determine the amniotic fluid amount, size, and position of your baby. Education on what to expect and how to stay low-risk throughout your pregnancy is given at each visit. Visits are 45 minutes to an hour long to thoroughly answer all of your questions.

It's Go Time

Birth support and care

From the time that you call us we remain with you monitoring you and your baby to ensure that you are safe to stay home and remain low-risk during your labor and delivery. We stay with you until at least two hours postpartum or until you’re stable and ready for us to leave. Our homebirth midwives are well equipped with the medications, herbs, and equipment needed for all types of emergencies, but are well trained to spot an emergency we cannot handle in advance to get you safely to the hospital if the need arises.

Postpartum Care

Postpartum visits

We come to you for your 24/48 hour visit after birth and come to you again at 2 weeks so that you can continue to heal and your newborn can stay home and safe while its immunity is building. You will come see us for your final 6 week visit so we all can all say our goodbye’s. We never charge more for extra visits when they’re needed. We educate and support your breastfeeding journey, but will connect you with our partners if you need more intensive care. We can provide metabolic screening, hearing screening, and the critical congenital heart defect screening in your home. We continue to be on call for you in this process until 6 weeks postpartum when you transition to a pediatrician or Dr. Google.
